Elliotisms from the past

Things that are uniquely Elliot now, but would be quite odd if he continued when an adult:

Approving/Disapproving of clothes I try on purely based on how it feels when he gives me a hug

Making odd sound effects as he sits on the toilet, for the lovely echo the bathroom provides

Creating adverbs by adding -ly. Latest favorite: Hardly. "She hit me very hardly!"

Not being able to sleep without a meep.

Cuddling and sighly loudly in happiness.

His extreme space cadet-ness.

Making 30 paper airplanes a day

"I love hugs from mama more than watching TV"

Making creative gifts out of recycling, cardboard, and duct tape

Being more hurt by not being able to join Caleb with his friends, and getting his cheek all scraped up from a face meets ice incident.

Being spoiled from our weekly dates, now having high expectations for eating out

Being fully satisfied with string or tape, no need for the toy or candy aisle. (actually this would serve him well as an adult)

Saying:  I was thinking about what it would be like to be an X. It would hurt. There is a lot of pressure on an X. Same with an A. I would not want to be an X or an A.
