Germany without kids

What I remember about being free from the kids for a week:

Getting to use a single stall toilet. And the freedom of not having to wait to wipe everyone else before I could finally go.

Descending the escalators in the OHare airport and seeing the floresenct colored tube lights and mystic music in the tunnel , and not having someone be more giddy than me.

Being able to take time to order in a restaurant instead of ordering 5 meals quickly so there would soon be food to shove in their talkative and sometimes noisy mouths.

Being able to go out for the whole day without lugging a bag full of granola bars, wipes, band-aids, beverages, bribe treats, and random toys.

Going in a store and not worrying about the damage caused by our group tornado passing.

Not having anyone to go jump in the fountains with me.

Being able to climb the ___ stairs in the Dom in without having to carry a single child.

Not being able to share the amazing view with them. Thankfully, I did have Noel who thoroughly enjoyed the view and gigantic bells with me.
